What inspires you? What motivates you? What brings you joy, and what incites your courage, compassion, creativity?

Those are the questions I set out to explore when creating The Skeptic’s Inspirational, a daily collection of practical yet inspirational encouragement.

I started down this path when I found that much of the motivational content out there relies on promises that feel a little too good to be true, or are based on faith practices I don’t follow. I wanted something different. Something grounded. Something real. Something anyone could pick up and use no matter their background or beliefs.

This project was born from the idea that while critical thinking is healthy, we need reminders to keep us rooted in more positive outlooks, or risk sinking into cynicism and disengagement. Hey, I’m GenX, I know what I’m talking about!

Every day throughout 2025, I’m releasing one entry featuring actionable reflections designed to motivate, challenge, and reframe the way we approach life’s ups and downs. What sets this apart? These aren’t vague inspirational clichés. They’re grounded in universal human experiences: small steps forward, quiet bravery, moments of curiosity, and the everyday effort that creates real change.

And here’s the best part: these daily entries are building toward something more. Soon, The Skeptic’s Inspirational will be available as a complete book (both print and ebook), a tool you can keep by your side year after year to reset, renew, and refocus.
